Do Florists Deliver Flowers on Sundays in Los Angeles?

Adore Flowers delivers Monday through Saturday in Los Angeles, so we do not run Sunday deliveries. An order placed on a Sunday goes out on Monday, the next delivery day.

Sunday is the day people discover a florist's week has edges. A birthday brunch, a Sunday service, Mother's Day itself: all of them land on a day most studios in this city are dark. The fix is small and it is always the same, order for Saturday.

Why is Sunday not a delivery day?

Because our week follows the flower market. The Original Los Angeles Flower Market in the Downtown Flower District lists Sunday as closed and opens at 5 AM the rest of the week.

Every arrangement we send is built from stems chosen that morning. With the market shut, a Sunday delivery would mean flowers that sat through a closed day. That is the opposite of what we sell.

When will a Sunday order actually arrive?

On Monday. If you place it before the 11 AM Monday cutoff, it is designed that morning and delivered the same afternoon, in the 1 to 5 PM window.

Deliveries run in two windows, 10 AM to 1 PM and 1 PM to 5 PM. Orders placed ahead can land in either one.

How do I send flowers for a Sunday occasion?

Cover Sunday with a Saturday delivery. There are two ways to do it:

• Order Saturday morning. Place it before 11 AM on Saturday for same-day Saturday delivery, arriving between 1 and 5 PM.
• Pick the date earlier in the week. Choose Saturday at checkout on Tuesday or Wednesday and the day itself needs nothing from you.

For a Sunday lunch, Saturday afternoon is the better arrival anyway. The host gets the flowers before the table is set, not while the oven is full.

Will Saturday flowers still look good on Sunday?

Yes, comfortably. A garden-style arrangement in fresh water holds five to seven days, so a Saturday delivery is barely into its life by Sunday lunch.

Placement does more than anything else over that first night. Iowa State University Extension advises to keep the flowers away from heat sources and drafts, which in Los Angeles means off the sunny windowsill and away from the patio door.

What about Mother's Day, which is always a Sunday?

Order Saturday delivery, and book it several days ahead. Mother's Day is one of the busiest flower days of the year: the Society of American Florists found that 38 percent of Americans bought flowers or plants for mom in 2025.

Saturday slots on that weekend fill first. In six years of Mother's Day mornings I have never regretted a bucket prepared on Thursday.

Do you deliver on other holidays and weekends?

Saturday is a full delivery day, with the same 11 AM cutoff as the rest of the week. Any dates the studio is closed are shown at checkout.

Valentine's Day, birthdays, and anniversaries that fall midweek are simply ordinary delivery days here. Only Sunday sits outside the schedule.

What happens to an order placed on Saturday afternoon?

It goes out on Monday. Saturday's 11 AM cutoff closes the delivery week, and Sunday is dark, so an order placed after Saturday lunch waits for the start of the week.

If the gift has a Sunday deadline, call the studio on Saturday morning rather than ordering at four. We can usually tell you in a minute whether the day still works.

What should I send for a weekend table?
