Scheduling is the quietest way to buy flowers in this city. You take the 11 AM cutoff, the traffic, and your own memory out of the equation in one step. Here is how the date works, how fresh a scheduled order actually is, and which dates are worth booking early.

How do I schedule flowers for a future date?

Pick the delivery date at checkout, add your message, and pay. That is the whole process.

The date can be any day we deliver, Monday through Saturday. Sunday is not a delivery day, so a Sunday occasion is covered by choosing the Saturday before.

Do scheduled flowers sit waiting in a cooler?

No. Nothing is built ahead of time, and nothing is held.

Your arrangement is designed on the delivery morning, from stems selected that day at the Los Angeles Flower Market, which opens at 5 AM and is closed on Sundays. A date booked three weeks out is made with the same morning's flowers as a same-day order.

How far ahead can I schedule?

Well in advance. Birthdays, anniversaries, and event dates are all normal bookings here, and there is no advantage in waiting.

What we cannot promise weeks out is a specific stem. Seasons move, so we design to the palette and the feeling you chose, and substitute of equal or greater quality when a bloom is not at its best that morning.

Can I choose the delivery window?

You can tell us what matters and we route to it. Deliveries run in two windows, 10 AM to 1 PM and 1 PM to 5 PM, and scheduled orders can land in either one.

Same-day orders always take the 1 to 5 PM window, so a scheduled date is the only way to aim at a morning arrival. Leave the reason in the notes, a breakfast meeting or a check-out time, and it helps us sequence the run.

Which dates are worth scheduling early?

• Anniversaries and birthdays, booked a week ahead so the day arrives already handled. See romance and birthday.
• Recurring dates, such as a standing weekly delivery for a home or an office; our flower subscription automates that entirely.
• Events and gatherings, where flowers should land on the morning of, before guests do.

In six years at the bench, the orders that arrive with the least drama are the ones placed on an ordinary Tuesday for a date two weeks out.

What about Valentine's Day and Mother's Day?

Book those early, because the day itself has no slack in it. The Society of American Florists reports that Valentine's Day is the number one holiday for florists and for floral purchases.

Mother's Day always falls on a Sunday, so it needs a Saturday delivery. Any dates the studio is closed are shown at checkout.

What do you need from me when I book ahead?

The recipient's name and address, a phone number for them or their building, and the message we write by hand. Access details matter as much on a booked date as on a same-day run.

For an office or a hotel, add the suite or room number and the desk that receives.

Is scheduling better than ordering on the day?

For a date you already know, yes. The 11 AM cutoff is generous right up until the morning gets away from you.

What should I send for a scheduled date?
